Metropolitalna Railway Project was awarded by the European Union the grant of 600 mln złotych, that will cover 85% of the investments cost. The Metropolitalna Railway will link Gdańsk and Gdynia with the Wałęsa Airport. The journey to both cities will take about 25 minutes. From Rębiechowo to Gdańsk Zasapa will arise new, 20 kilometers long, double track and electrified line. The section to Gdynia will be modernized.
