AstraZeneca expands its office at Postepu 14

With yet another expansion deal, AstraZeneca Pharma Poland’s office space in the HB Reavis’ building at Postepu 14 reaches a total area of approx. 18,000 sq m. JLL experts advised the company throughout the lease negotiation process.

AstraZeneca is a global biopharmaceutical company, delivering medicines for the most serious diseases that pose a challenge to modern medicine. With over 25 years of presence in Poland, the company currently has more than 1,500 employees in our country. The Polish branch of the company has recently expanded in order to improve the market delivery speed of new medicine.

“We are happy to see AstraZeneca put trust in our building. Last year’s office lease renewal by the company was one of the largest in the Warsaw market. This year’s transaction of another 4,700 sqm means that Postepu 14 is effectively 100% occupied.” said Karol Wyka, Country Leasing Director at HB Reavis Poland.

AstraZeneca’s expansion at Postepu 14 reflects at least two important phenomena in the Polish office market. First, business process outsourcing and locating projects that serve international markets in Poland is a significant driver of growth for the office sector. Second, the most attractive office buildings in the neighbourhood of Służewiec Przemysłowy continue to draw tenants with their favourable terms of lease and gradually improving transport infrastructure in this part of the Mokotów district

Postepu 14 is one of the most state-of-the-art office buildings in the district of Mokotów, offering 34,500 sq m of leasable space. The building stands out for its green solutions, including wind turbines, complete cycling infrastructure, an electric vehicle charging station, energy-saving lifts and lighting as well as the use of rainwater to water plants and cool the AC systems. In addition to typical offices, it is home to the HubHub co-working centre, Bocca Bar, DaftCafe, a canteen, grocery store and chemist.
