The sale of one of Warsaw's office buildings located at 53/57 Grzybowska Street has been confirmed. The transaction was completed recently, although the financial details remain confidential. The property was previously valued at PLN 86 million.
The building dates back to the early 1990s and for a long time served as one of the main headquarters of a Polish bank. The property offers nearly 21,000 sq m of office space and occupies a plot of almost 2,500 sq m. However, it has been vacant for several years, waiting for a new owner.
The new owner will be able to demolish the existing Pekao Tower, which may pave the way for a completely new project in one of the most attractive parts of downtown Warsaw. Unofficial sources suggest that a residential building reaching 100 meters in height may be built on the site of the old office building.
