In March, the Ilmet building was handed over to the demolition contractor to begin interior dismantling. The demolition works are being carried out in phases, following a carefully planned multi-stage process. In place of the existing structure, a modern 188-meter tower called Warsaw One will rise.
For years, Ilmet has been one of the most distinctive landmarks on Warsaw's skyline. Completed in 1997, the building features 22 above-ground floors and 3 underground levels, reaching a height of nearly 83 meters.
