The future of the famous Warsaw building Intraco remains uncertain. The Mazovian conservator of monuments is considering entering it in the register of monuments, which could save the building from demolition.
The proceedings are being conducted at the request of the Warsaw Monument Defenders Association. Documentation has been collected and an inspection of the building has been carried out, which revealed numerous renovations carried out over the years.
The planned demolition of Intraco would take 12-16 months, and the new building would be completed in 2030.
It is worth noting that the building was constructed in 1975 on the corner of Stawki and Andersa Streets by a Swedish contractor. At the time, Intraco was very modern, with parking for 200 cars, high-speed elevators, and a ventilation system that pumped cool air. Initially, it housed 60 foreign companies.
